What Is Good Friday?

This day is remembered as the day when Jesus suffered and died with his consent by crucifixion. This was the ultimate sacrifice for the sins of his people. Good Friday is followed by Easter- a day of resurrection of Jesus from death.

The first one being obedience. The Catholics fast because they believe that this is what their God tell them to do. They believe that fasting on Good Friday is good for their health as it gives their body discipline. Another reason is penance. The Christians withdraw from any sin on this day as repentance on Jesus Christ’s crucifixion.

Christians abstain from eating meat or chicken on the Friday before Easter Sunday. Everyone, whether religious or not prefer Fish on this day and do not like to eat meat, beef, chicken, or lamb on Good Friday.
